Made from molten quarried rock, basalt has high tensile strength and natural resistance to alkali, moisture, chemicals, and freeze-thaw cycles, so it holds up inside the concrete whether the finished piece ends up in a kitchen or outdoors.

Choose the form that fits your mix and design. CX Basalt Fiber mixes right into the concrete in lengths from 12 to 50 mm and blends in without clumping or balling. Basalt mesh and scrim, cut from the roll by the square yard in grids from 5x5 mm to 50x50 mm, works well in both precast and pour-in-place concrete countertops. Basalt rebar comes in bundles of twelve 4 ft rods in 4, 6, and 8 mm diameters as a lighter, rust-free alternative to steel rebar.
