Surecrete Lithium Densifier LD1800 - 1 Gallon
About
LD1800 reacts chemically with the free lime in concrete to produce calcium silicate hydrate deep in the concrete pores to make your concrete stronger and more durable.
As a surface preparation product, LD1800 can help to strengthen your overly-porous or weak concrete surface. This product can help to extend the lifespan of your slab by helping to solidify the “cream” or top layer of your concrete. It does this by filling in many of the small voids in the concrete with liquid silicate that hardens slowly over time.

Instructions
Surface Prep
Surface must be dry and clean of dust, dirt, oils, and other surface contaminants (see SCR TDS). It is imperative to provide surface profiling on concrete deck surfaces that are especially smooth, hard, dense, etc. For most applications, the most common means of profiling is accomplished with the use of SCR, the safe substitute for muriatic acid.
Application
Note:
- Always test the concrete surface for desired results and suitability.
- Temperature of concrete and ambient temperature should be between 40ºF and 100ºF.
New (freshly placed) concrete:
Apply a single coat with low pressure sprayer (see listed coverage rate). Treated surface must stay wet for 15-minutes following spraying. Depending on desired finish, the continued treatment can be LD1800 straight or 1:1 with water. Porous areas may require reapplication in 15-minute treatment periods.
Remove any remaining product after 15-minutes with rinsing, squeegee, or floor scrubber. Allow to dry. Any dry powder residue must be removed, this can take place over the next few hours. Following cure of concrete, construction dirt may be removed with floor scrubber cleaning pads that will enhance the sheen of floor.
Existing (cured) concrete:
Following surface preparation, the surface must receive water evenly. Test by wetting evenly with light spray. Hot and/or dry weather may require prewetting a floor and allowing puddles to evaporate. Apply a single coat of LD1800 with low pressure sprayer, soft bristle broom, mop, or squeegee. Treated surface must stay wet for 15 minutes following spraying. Depending on desired finish, the continued treatment can be LD1800 straight or 1:1 with water. Porous areas may require reapplication in 15-minute treatment period. Remove any remaining product after 15 minutes with rinsing, squeegee, or floor scrubber. Any dry powder residue must be removed, this can take place over the next few hours. To enhance the sheen, follow with dry buffing with floor rotational machine and black, red, or white pads.
Xtreme Series & D-FRC Colored Slurry:
On solid color castings, LD1800 can assist in creating "same color" slurry to fill in pin holes and small voids. Using a 50-grit diamond polishing pad (with channels) that is rated for wet/dry, begin removing the cream from the surface polishing dry. Keeping the dry powder on the surface, switch to a 100-grit diamond polishing pad (with channels) that is rated for wet/dry, pour LD1800 onto the surface and use your polishing pad to mix the dry powder with the LD1800. Move the created same color slurry into the voids using a circular motion. Continue the circular motion until the slurry turns to a dry color.
Once all pin holes and voids have been filled, let dry for 2 hours, and lightly sand the unwanted slurry off the surface with a 200-grit diamond polishing pad.
Suitability Sample
Always prepare an adequate number of on-site test areas on the intended substrate to establish aesthetic suitability for products' intended use.
Clean-Up
Before LD1800 dries, spills and tools can be cleaned up with water.
Disposal
